Guerrilla Video games has introduced that on-line servers for Killzone Shadow Fall and Killzone Mercenary might be shuttered on August 12, 2022.

Whereas the single-player campaigns for each video games won’t be affected by the server closure, all on-line options together with multiplayer, Intercept Mode, and RIGS: Mechanised Fight League might be closing its doorways.

On 12 August 2022, on-line servers for Killzone: Mercenary, Killzone Shadow Fall (together with Intercept Mode) and RIGS: Mechanized Fight League will shut down. On-line options (together with on-line multiplayer modes) will stop on that date. Single participant offline modes stay out there

Killzone: Shadow Fall was launched for the PS4 as a launch title again in November 2013, whereas Killzone Mercenary arrived on the PS Vita a number of months earlier than its greater brother. Sadly, each video games signify the final gasp of the franchise earlier than Guerrilla Video games moved onto Horizon Zero Daybreak in 2017.

So, have we seen the final of Killzone at this level? It’s powerful to say. Horizon is clearly making large bucks for Sony proper now, and we’ve heard nothing from Guerrilla Video games about any plans for Killzone going ahead.
