Developer Aspyr’s remake of fan-favorite Star Wars: Knights of the Previous Republic for PlayStation 5 has been “delayed indefinitely,” in accordance with a report from Bloomberg. The information comes after the studio reportedly fired two administrators, and one other studio was introduced in to assist work on the challenge.
In line with Bloomberg, design director Brad Prince and artwork director Jason Minor have been each fired from Aspyr after the studio confirmed a gameplay preview of the Knights of the Previous Republic remake to Lucasfilm and Sony. Aspyr’s studio head then advised the employees that the challenge was on pause and that the gameplay wasn’t the place they needed it to be. Bloomberg reported that the remake could not arrive till 2025.
Aspyr has not communicated an official launch window for its remake of Knights of the Previous Republic, and has not formally introduced a delay.
The remake of Knights of the Previous Republic was first introduced in September final 12 months.
